  ok, so it’s not a jw prophetic prediction, but one from our “cousins” the mormons (or as the latest president of their church russel m nelson prefers ‘the church of jesus christ of latter day saints’).

  i reckon they will drop their ban on caffeine soon.

  they will change their long held beliefs about tea and coffee being wrong.. watch this space!

  A Mormon woman I spoke to one time said she had the true religion be cause she had a testimony from God that it was the truth. Her testimony? She had 8 children. God gave them to her so she would know it was the truth. What about the members that are sterile? They are on their own, literally. What a dumb ass religion.

  i was driving along through a quiet neighborhood on a saturday morning ( yesterday )and , looky-looky, two dubs.i recognized one of them, complete asshole, exbethelite, can i say his name?it's not important.i rolled up, downed the window and "hey!

  They "spun around" because you made yourself heard over the engine, or was it your accusatory tone? lol Hey, yell all you like but don't expect everyone to support it. Kinda silly really. It seems you yelling was for you not them. Public shaming is what DFing is for.

  Two witness rule: who cares?

  i find people railing against the so called “two witness rule” puzzling.

  i think its a complete and total non issue.

  for those that protest, argue or advocate for change in that rule, why?

  My story

  i came across this website when i was looking for some emotional/mental support lately as i was summoned by elders to explain someone’s report on me saying “i’m promoting homosexuality”.

  i’m inactive, not attending meetings or associating with jw outside of my biological family for almost 2 years now.. yes i am gay (you can judge away) and yes it is in a direct contrast to the scriptures, no arguement about it.. i was brought up in a jw family.

  my dad is a typical zealot, he literally talks or thinks about the bible 24/7.

  My sister passed away this evening

  it was only about two months ago she was diagnosed with lung cancer and she was a non smoker .. she was never a jw and she never held it against me that i was for 33 years.. we had a good relationship even though we lived in different states about 2000 miles apart,.. tears are rolling down my cheeks as i type this .

  https://youtu.be/rkens1c7fsg many sda church members unions and conferences are having issues with their general conference which has set up five compliance committees to regulate church entities.

  some of the areas the general conference are concerned about are the ordination of women and the general wants to stop more women from being ordained also their are issues with church doctrine homosexuality.

  this video is in response to a fight back by a large majority of members 40% wanted womens ordination.

  There were other factors, ie: my niece being born with spinabifida and the fear of it happening to any child I might have, the ministry (pioneered a long time) and such. It certainly didn't help that God's anointed all but made it a taboo. Assholes.

  i'm 45 years old now and we wake up my wife and i from borg a few years ago.. i'm living between spain and france, due to my work.. it has been always refreshing to listen and read many of you here.. i hope it will continue the same..
